The Sierra Leone Association of Alberta ( SLAA ) woke up to the shocking death of a dedicated member Mrs. Adama Achimu Kamara ( wife of Mr Achimu Kamara ), also a devout Muslim of the Sierra Leone Muslim Jamaat in Edmonton, who resided in Edmonton AB., Canada, up to her passing on Wednesday October 18, 2023.
Mrs. Adama Archimu Kamara, a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, known for her cheerful and caring nature. Her death came as a huge surprise to the entire Sierra Leone and African Immigrant Communities in Edmonton.
She will be buried on Friday October 20, 2O23 at the Muslim Cemetery after Janaza prayers at AL Rasheed Mosque in Edmonton, Canada.
Funeral prayers will be held at the Canadian Islamic Center -AL Rashid Mosque after Janaza Prayers at 2:30pm, on 13070-113 Street, Edmonton, with burial at the Edmonton Muslim Cemetery 25110 34 St.
This will be followed by Re-pass at McCloed Community League on 14715-59St, immediately after burial.
Speaking in an interview with this forum , Mr Achimu Kamara said: "My late wife Mrs. Adama Archimu Kamara fought a good fight, but Allah knows best, we cannot question his will".
He went further to explain they were married for over 21 years, since 2002 in Toronto and had several children, but that death has separated them.
Late Mrs Adama Achimu Kamara was an indegene of Fadugu, few miles from Kabala in the North of Sierra Leone and had sibblings.
Achimu Kamara onbehalf of his family, expressed profound appreciation of love and support they've received during their grief from the Executive and entire membership of SLAA, other groups and organisations within Alberta.
He finally rounded up by using this forum to whether his late wife was owing anybody , so he could pay the person/s back.
Also, if late Adama had hurt anybody, he's asking for people to forgive her as she's no longer around us. This is enshrined in the way of life of all true Muslims.
Mostly emotional SLAA and other Immigrant Community members, also heaped praises on the deceased woman, for her friendly/caring posture at all times, she was always well dressed and presentable.
