The much anticipated SWEARING-IN of the legitimate Sierra Leone Association of Alberta President-elect, Mr Foday Conteh and VP elect Martha Yei Caulker M'bayo, will take place on Saturday 7th September 2024, at the SLAA Multi Purpose Centre on 17218 107 Ave. NW., Edmonton. AB at 6:00pm.
It could be recalled that on Saturday 10th August 2024, the Sierra Leone Association of Alberta ( SLAA ) voted overwhelmingly for President-elect Foday Conteh and VP elect Martha Yei Caulker M'bayo, recording a landslide 261 votes over the opponent with barely 30 votes.
The election was under the auspices of the legitimate SLAA Elections Commissioner Mrs. Diane Hector and her dedicated Elections officers.
These are Mr. Bill Clarke, Mrs. Matilda Koroma, Mr .Bockarie Vandy and Ms. Patricia Sesay (DimDin Podcast fame), whose conduct of the election were highly commendable.
Arrangements for what promises to be a Blockbuster event are well underway, as it's expected top government functionaries within Edmonton and other community leaders will be in attendance.
