SALNAM Announces the 2023 Annual Financial Report

The Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba (SALNAM) has announced the community's 2023 Annual Financial Report. This was released on October 22, 2023, at the Zoom Sierra Leone community general meeting in Winnipeg, Canada.

The current bank account balance as of September 30, 2023, is $19,762.94 with a cash at hand of $1,067.49 - totalling $20,830.43.  This annual financial report was discussed in detail during the annual general meeting.

In this financial report, there are lots of expenses paid off by the current executive including a $1,500.00 for the designing and developing of the new SALNAM website, Folklorama expenses, Canada Day at the park, plus an outstanding Shaw internet bill of $846.72 incurred by the past executive and cleared from collection by the current executive of President Mohamed Moe Koroma.

There are other expenses on this report.

Income and revenues for this total amount were generated from monthly membership dues 2023, African community of Manitoba- Honorarium to SALNAM, tickets sales from various SALNAM events,  Canada federal Heritage Grant for Canada day celebration 2023,  Provence of Manitoba Grant for sport, culture and heritage, etc.

The SALNAM financial report also noted a balance brought forward as of September 30, 2022 of only $8.86 (eight dollars and eighty-six cents); this is the only amount inherited and handed over to President Mohamed Moe Koroma from the past executive.

However, this year's financial report didn't show that the outgone executive of President Allie Nasralla started with a total deposit of $10,660.00 plus an additional total external/deposit of $15,290.00, totaling $25,950.00; this amount didn't include the carry over amount inherited from President Abu Bakarr (Biggie) Kamara's executive that was handed to this past executive.
