The Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba Inc. (SALNAM) has announced the dates and venues for the annual SALNAM general meeting, the kids Christmas party and the annual "End of Year" dinner and dance; all happening in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. These events were confirmed by the president of the association, Mohamed Moe Koroma, in a brief telephone conversation with 40 Acres Canada.
The SALNAM general meeting will take place on Sunday October 22, 2023, commencing 7:30pm while it's anticipated to end at 8:30pm. It will be a virtual meeting on Zoom, and the link will be shared as soon as it's available to community members. Important matters including the current SALNAM finances, caring for the elders, helping new immigrants and other important matters will be discussed.
The Annual Kids Christmas Party will take place on Saturday December 16, 2023 at St. Mark's Place, 19 St. Mark's Place, Winnipeg, MB., starting at 4:00pm till 9:00pm. Parents, get all the kids ready to meet Mr. Santa that day with all the gifts.
There will be lots of entertainment and fun stuff to do with the kids at the kids Christmas party. The cover charge is FREE!
The annual SALNAM dinner & dance is scheduled to take place on Sunday December 31, 2023 at the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church community Centre at 200 Kenny Street, Winnipeg, MB. This is a fundraising event to help with the Sierra Leone community in Manitoba and there will be a cover charge and a cash bar. More details on that will be available soon. Doors open at 7:00pm and the event commences at 8:00pm till 1:00am. Raffle tickets and silent auction will be available to raise money for the community.
