Following the thwarted coup on November 26th in Sierra Leone, the Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi, Esq, speaking on 98.1, disclosed that a total of 57 individuals have been apprehended in connection with the attempted upheaval.
Among those detained are a varied group comprising 37 military personnel, 10 civilians, 4 dismissed soldiers, 5 serving police officers, and 1 retired police officer.
The incident, which aimed to disrupt the country’s stability, has led to swift action from authorities as they work to restore order and bring those involved to justice.
