The weekend vibes are here – The Leone currency wahala, the water crisis in Sierra Leone, Gaza death toll surpasses 30,000, Alpha Saidu Bangura in the question of the day, plus lots more. You're about to read another neck-breaking edition of “Behind the Scenes". This column is the radical thoughts of one guy called Lans Omar aka the “Golden Child” - born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Let's do this: The Sierra Leone currency has been abbreviated into three categories. At home in Sierra Leone, the old Leone is abbreviated as “Le”, the new Leone is “NLe” and the currency is internationally recognized and abbreviated as “SLE”. Why? Just a simple question – why? Just leave the currency to “SLE”, period. This is what happens when a bunch of “unseasoned boys” are running the country.

Switching gears: Have you guys recently watched the video of a little boy in Freetown, Sierra Leone, fetching water from the dirty gutters of the streets of Freetown for drinking and other home consumptions? Have you? Over 4,000 years since the availability of pure drinking water on this planet, clean running water still remains an illusion in Sierra Leone. This is beyond shock! The video was released on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, and has gone viral on all major social media platforms.

The video depicts a boy in the gutter getting water from the drainage of wastes, and you can clearly hear his mother standing by and wailing: “this is our life in this country, the government is not providing water for us in the country”. Again, let’s go back to the drawing board – it will be 63yrs this April 27, 2024, since the country gained Independence and it’s still the poorest human settlement on earth. This is a clear manifestation that both SLPP & APC are useless cats that have been running the country. Hopefully, the creator of that video used Adobe Photoshop Premiere Pro for that content, but if that content was unedited and purely raw, I’m ashamed. Next stop: For the past four months, more than 30,000 innocent women, children, and babies have been killed by Zionist terror-state Israel in Gaza. Unfortunately, the US, UK, Canada and some Western countries are not only sitting there and watching the genocide but they are actually supplying Israel with the weapons to commit this act. 30,000 innocent people, not 300, not 30 but 30,000 people have perished for nothing. Most Christians consider this a Christianity/Islamic war and they are comfortable with it, citing a war Israel is winning against Islam. This is not really the core of the issue here. Israel practices Judaism, they crucified Jesus Christ, and up till this moment of penning this missive, they never accepted Christ and do not believe/accept a thing about Christ and Christianity. Period.

Jesus Christ was a Palestinian Jew, he was born in Bethlehem, a city in the Israeli-occupied West Bank of Palestine. Do I hear a rat meow? It’s Christ’s birthplace that these so-called Israelites are ransacking and terrorizing right now with bombs and they don’t even FucKing care.

My concern here is that innocent people are dying on a daily basis in the merciless hands of a demonic Israel – that’s unacceptable. Imagine, this is happening to a straight-up White people in a European country, the US, or God forbid, in Canada? Imagine the global outrage from continent to continent. But, Palestinians are Arabs, Brown people, not White. Who FucKing cares about them? Nobody, right? – That’s racism right there in this conflict, and mentally deranged Joe Biden is on top of the game vetoing a cease-fire. I wonder how he will explain this to his grandkids, I wonder.

Question: Just wondering – where is Alpha Saidu Bangura these days? The guy was playing around with President Bio, thinking that Bio is a fool, but truth be told, Bio is not a fool at all.

Finally: Again, the weekend is here! As usual, I don’t work weekends, I just chill and play around over the weekend. This evening, Pretty Woman and I are going to the theatre to watch the new Bob Marley movie – “One Love” and thereafter chill out.
